NORTON CANCER INSTITUTE:
CATHY’S STORY

  • After noticing something was wrong, Cathy Hinko waited and learned that waiting was a mistake. Diagnosed with vulvar cancer in 2009, she fought the disease for over a decade through chemotherapy, radiation, and multiple surgeries, supported every step of the way by the compassionate, team-based care at Norton Cancer Institute. Now cancer-free, Cathy is speaking out about the importance of listening to your body, acting on symptoms immediately, and getting the HPV vaccine. Her message is simple: putting yourself first isn't selfish. It could save your life.
